Role at Graystone:  Scotty’s role within Graystone includes the facilitation of training and client account management.  Scotty also handles all of the ongoing updates of training modules based off of current trends and data while creating new training modules to better serve Graystone client’s growing needs.

What Clients Say:  Clients often refer to Scotty as an “operations guy,” based upon his experience in the funeral profession and the way he works hands-on.  Scotty’s value comes from the way he works to improve processes and systems within funeral homes — all while maintaining the focus on improved customer service and revenue growth through staff development.  Scotty’s patience is particularly valued when working one-on-one with funeral professionals, of all levels, to improve their individual performance and reach desired goals.

Passion for the Work:  Process improvement throughout an organization is rewarding for Scotty.  Yet, he finds it even more gratifying to witness the growth with each level of staffing, improved customer service ratings derived from client family feedback, as well as improved culture in entire organizations. 

Prior to Graystone:  Scotty is a licensed Funeral Director in Missouri with more than 15 years of experience with a fast-paced progressive funeral home in the midwest.  His experience as both a Funeral Director and Director of Funeral Service Operations is very beneficial as he works with Graystone clients.  In addition, Scotty is very familiar with crematory operations, which is a valued asset with the growing cremation trends.  Prior to joining the Graystone team, Scotty also worked as a Regional Marketing Director for an insurance funding organization covering 13 states in the Midwest.
