Mark A. Shalz, a consultant at Graystone Associates, Inc., conducts training for funeral service personnel to improve customer satisfaction, value creation, market share and performance. His training directly impacts client family satisfaction and increases market share through enhanced word of mouth referrals.
Shalz previously worked as a Field Operations Trainer. He traveled throughout the Country to provide all levels of Funeral Arranger Training. Shalz is a second generation funeral director and possesses over 25 years of sales, training, and operations management training. He has managed multiple funeral homes for McGilley and D.W. Newcomer's & Sons.

Shalz was a Regional Marketing Manager with Suhor Industries, the country’s largest Wilbert licensee, when he was named “Regional Salesperson of the Year” and “Most Valuable Player” by Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc.
As a Regional Vice President of Operations for Suhor Industries; Shalz was honored with achieving the first “Ultimate Service” award by Wilbert Funeral Services. Shalz subsequently achieved this award at six of his manufacturing facilities.
In 2004, he was privileged to assist with the entombment of President Ronald Reagan.
Shalz earned his degree in general studies from Missouri Western State University and his Mortuary Science Degree from Kansas City Community College. He currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri with his two sons.
