Rick Flores, Controller

Role at Graystone: Rick manages the daily accounting operations from our home office in Houston.  His responsibilities include overseeing client billing, credit card processing, budget forecasting, and maintaining/updating our customer accounts.  Rick works hand-in-hand with our Account Managers, Trainers and field personnel to deliver excellent customer service to our clients in the areas of accounting and finance.

Passion for the Work: With over nine years of experience, Rick's main focus is solid and precise accounting. His driving principal in the accounting sector is “Accuracy beats speed every time.” Rick holds these high levels of accuracy and attention to detail as the most significant influences in his contributions to Graystone team and Graystone clients.

Prior to Graystone:  Previously, Rick worked for companies in the agriculture, manufacturing, and retail sectors giving him a diverse level of experience in the accounting field.  His role in each of these areas was managerial accounting and associated areas.  Rick played a vital role in each of these companies’ success and growth.

 

Emily Groeneman, Client Family Survey Specialist

Role at Graystone: Emily is responsible for the distribution of all client customer service surveys.  She manages all data coming to us from our clients which begins the customer service measurement process.  This includes verifying and importing the data into our systems and printing nearly 100,000 surveys per year for all seven of our Funeral Service Research Group entities: Funeral Home, Pre-Arrangements, Pet Cremation, Cremation Society, Monument Production, Cemetery Operations and Special Events

Passion for the Work: With extensive experience in maintaining and managing medical records, Emily holds accuracy and attention to detail at the highest importance.  As the daughter of small business owners, she is dedicated to providing high quality customer service and values a strong work ethic.

Prior to Graystone: For over 10 years, Emily worked as a private surgical assistant and medical office manager.  In her time as a direct care provider, she learned the importance of kindness, patience and compassion for those dealing with difficult situations. 

 

Stephanie Alvey, Training Materials Specialist

With Graystone since: 2021

Role at Graystone: Stephanie prepares, prints, assembles and ships all our training materials provided to our clients for their on-site training sessions as well as our materials for Graystone Boot Camps and other special events. She is responsible for utilizing our production printer to produce the envelopes that go out to each of our clients.  She administrates all CEU accreditation for all states and distributes all participant certificates.  Stephanie is responsible for Caliper orders and distributing results to our clients in a timely manner.

What Clients Say: Stephanie is organized, dependable and outgoing. She is always there to help with anything that she can and will go above and beyond.

Pasion for the Work: Stephanie is a team player and willing to help others when needed. She takes pride in her work and is eager to learn new skills. Stephanie’s co-workers would say she has become our “Jack-of-all-trades.”

Prior to Graystone: Stephanie worked in the medical field for 10 years as a Medical Assistant. In the fast pace of the medical field, she learned how to adapt to each change and new skill learned. She has a passion for helping others. 

 

Taylor Groeneman, Survey Entry Specialist

With Graystone since: Since 2018

Role at Graystone:   Taylor is a Data Entry Specialist for Graystone Associates.  He reviews and enters all the returned customer service surveys into our system.   A detailed and intricate process, this entry involves both the recording of ratings in the surveys as well as the meticulous entry of customer comments and reviews.  In addition, Taylor provides support to Graystone’s Account Managers and Trainers as well as contributing to special projects.

What Clients Say:  Taylor provides a level of speed and attention to detail that enables him to process the customer service surveys in a very timely and accurate manner.   It is this level of skill along with a heavy dose of pride from Taylor that supports our clients in a very direct way. 

Passion for the Work:  For Taylor, the most rewarding aspect of his work is reading the comments and experiences described in the customer service surveys.  Many of these comments are filled with descriptions of compassion and empathy provided by our clients to the families that they serve.  This makes Taylor proud of the high level of service provided by our clients.

Prior to Graystone:  Having completed his degree for Interactive Multimedia and Design, Taylor has provided support for various projects including YouTube content creators and Graystone’s own materials prior to joining full time in 2018.



 

Staci Paez, QC Specialist

With Graystone since: 2022

Role at Graystone: Staci is responsible for quality control for every incoming customer service survey.  If a family ever reports a complaint or poor experience, she immediately contacts the client funeral home so the situation can be resolved.  She also provides clients with bi-weekly survey results for all our client groups which include Funeral Homes, Pre-Arrangements, Pet Cremations, Cremation Societies, Monument Production, Cemetery Operations and Special Events.

What Clients Say: Staci takes pride in her work and her high level of attention to detail.  She is very dependable.

Passion for the Work: Staci takes great satisfaction in accomplishing her responsibilities with attention to detail.  She is also willing to learn new tasks and eager to help when needed.

Prior to Graystone: Staci has worked in retail management for four years as a Merchandise Service Coordinator, where her attention to detail was top priority.
